WORKING WOMAN~

Sooo...
I havent been blogging that much due to some
amazing new life changes happening!
I have joined the work force again!!
After being a stay-at-home Mommy for quite some time,
(years if we must)
I have re-joined the workforce and can be
officially called a~
WORKING MOM!
Hmmm, the title sounds soo weird after being the title of~
"STAY-AT-HOME MOM"
for sooo long!!
Anywho, I received a position with the school system under Assessments
and Instruction with the Board of Education here in town.
So far I feel blessed to have received this job and like it very much!
I'm using my education degree but at the same time I dont have
to deal with children all day in a classroom setting but
I have teacher hours and school holidays which totally ROCK!!!
Its taking a little adjusting to work out my time with the work shift,
housework, BLOG time and just any free time period for that matter! ha
I dont get to talk to my peeps on the phone as much as I like either,
but I'll keep in touch somehow!
I may not get to Blog as much but I will try to set up a time on Sundays to
fill in a little about our life when I can, since I do like to
keep this BLOG up to date not only for our loved ones to see...
but as my online scrapbook/journal for my kiddos to have
and read if something was to ever happen to me!
I do like that this will not burn in a house fire like our
precious photo albums could, God forbid!
Well wish me luck on this new season of life I am
now entering!
May you and yours be blessed as well~
Love

~Week of the Eagles~

It was a perfectly sunny HOT day for the festivities of
todays Week of the Eagles Family Day!
They had free jumpys for the kids and lots of SWAG!
The kids loved getting inside the helicopters and being able to
touch them up close since they are amazing devices!
The paratroppers were awesome and so was the
re-enactment war show that they created on the field.
The pizza and popsicles the kids enjoyed while watching the air show
weren't too shabby either! ha ha
All and All a very great family fun day that the Week of the Eagles
provided, thanks to all the troops that keep this country~
"The Land of the Free and Home of the Brave"
The paratroopers were cool!
Brought back memories of my jumping out of a plane
moment last year~FUN!!

I think this was inside the Chinook Helicopter~

B is for Books!!

So big thanks to Grandpa "Mr. Man" and Kim for the
Books-a-Million gift-card they gave us awhile back.
I was saving it for a rainy day and that day came today~
(minus the rain)

Since we're learning about the letter B this week what better

word begins with the letter 'B' than BOOKS!!!

'Lyza Jane had soo much fun looking through the aisles
of childrens books...it was great they had a sale going on!!
She found her favorite princess too~
A little Mermaid puzzle that she choose to buy
with her half of the gift card present.
She couldnt wait to make it when we got home.
Hayden had a hard time choosing which THOMAS the TRAIN
books he wanted since they had some good selections.

Uhhh, no 'Lyza~ Mommy is not buying you the purple pony!!
hee hee

Man, when Hayden saw this Thomas the TRAIN table in the
childrens section it was all over from there!
Luckily, he let his baby sister share some of the table too!
Outside the Books-a-Million trying to decide what we
are going to eat for LUNCH!!!

Hayden got a cool Thomas 'Numbers Express' book that
helps practice addition and subtraction,
he also got a Thomas birthday easy reader book too.
The one on the bottom is a great counting to 20 book
by Miss Spider Patch-both kids seemed to like the flip out pages!
The Sesame Street one is all about the ABC's and
had some cute illustrations!
'Lyza got these books and the little Mermaid puzzle not pictured~
The My little Pony book was part of a buy two get one free sale (awesome)
Of course we had to have the Dora MERMAID book that was also
a part of that sale!! ha
the Strawberry shortcake book came with APPLE smelling stickers in the back
of it and the book will be great to tie in with a trip to the APPLE FARM!!
(Which I hope to make with the kiddos next month in September!)

B is for BURGER KING!!

So we stopped by Burger King on the way home for lunch and
got some $1 burgers!
'Lyza is that burger good?!!

Ive never taken the kids to Books-a-Million before since I was afraid
we might not make it outta there alive.... ha ha
Today we had a minor meltdown leaving while I was paying
for our selections but other than that the first trip
to Books-a-Million was SUCCESSFUL!
Thanks again for the gift card present a few months back
that made this B is for BOOKs trip happen 'Mr Man & Kim!
We sure do love reading books!!!

Learning about the Letter B~

We are learning about the letter B~
B is for BUCKEYES!!
I've always wanted to try making some buckeye candy...
(Mmmmm its soo yummy)
Well today the kiddos and I broke out a recipe I found online
and I must say it was easy and fun for us all to make~

Look at her little face above in this pic...she is
really concentrating on making this candy!!

Hmmm maybe I could open my own little candy factory here~

I mean these two are cheap lil' oompa loompa's if ya ask me!

hee hee

I think Hayden liked eating the candy even more
than he liked making the candy,
but he gets his 'Sugar' addiction honest...
his mommy has a mean sweet tooth!

Hayden was learning the letter B while practicing numbers
He colored the bunny color by number page today~

Hayden and Lyza each picked out Letter A and Letter B picture items
and glued them to the correct letter page.

One of my favorite art projects we did was make these
'Butterflies' using their feet...
I hung them up on our glass window and they are soo cute!

'Lyzas pretty pink butterfly

Haydens Orange Butterfly
(this kid has big feet man!)
hee hee ;-)
