Soo Hayden and mommy bought our first tent today...
(Hayden has been begging mommy to take him camping and
Wally-world had a great deal on this tent soo we couldnt pass up
a fun opportunity!!)

Thank-goodness we decided to do this before the heat of
summer really hits, since the humidity here in the south is no joke!
Ok so are camping but decided to have PIZZA delivery! ha
(Or car pizza as Hayden calls it)
Mmmm camping and PIZZA the best!!
Inside their new tent!
Playing with the flashlights inside the tent~

The last two camping survivors in the early dawn morning hours

Whats a mom to do when they want to drag every single

Ice Cream Truck & Sprinkler Days~

One of my favorite things about Summertime is the
Ice Cream Truck!
My children can hear it come a mile away, down the street
& though our neighborhood...they get just as excited
as I remember being when the gummy truck came by in Germany!
The Ice Cream trucks prices have sure gone up since my childhood
but how can I say 'No' to these darling little excited faces...
Every once in awhile we give them a treat from the Ice Cream truck!
I mean its a childhood summer rite of passage in my book~
Our final ice cream decisions were Batman and Pink Panther!
Then it was back to the SPRINKLER fun with our popsicles!
These goggles crack me up!
Summertime is the best isnt it!

Im looking forward to an amazing and fun-filled
Summer already!
Its my favorite time of the year....
& not just because its my name either! hee

Flying Kites from 'Ranny~

On vacation grandma 'Ranny bought the kiddos
super cool HUGE kites from a little beachside kite store in
Provincetown, MA.
'Lyza Jane is really into Mermaids right now so when 'Ranny
saw this Mermaid kite~ she knew it was destined to be hers!
Hayden got this cool SHARK kite~
'Lyza really had to hold tight to her kite~
the thing was bigger than her!
It was really pretty swimming around in the sky~
The wind has blown her hair allover while flying her kite~
shes still gorgeous as ever though!
Haydens really into flying his new shark kite
The cool black shark hunting the sky~
Looks like the Shark is going to eat some Mermaid for dinner~

Thank-you soo much 'Ranny for the super cool kites to fly!

My ONCE Yearly Vacation!!

I just got back from my YEARLY escape from my real life vacation!
My mother and I have a once yearly tradition of taking a trip
together to someplace we have never been before.
Its a wonderful experience for both of us and a bonding week
full of memories as well~

I normally do not BLOG about myself on this blog...
I try to keep it about my adventures with the kiddos
and their little lives... but since I really had no pics of them to
blog about in the past two weeks I figured it wouldnt hurt
to just blog about what I have done in this time frame~
I took some ME time! ;-)

Our vacation this year was to the New England Area
and great state of MASSACHUSETTS!
We visited Salem, MA and learned all about the history
of the witch trials thats known famous for around the world.
We even had some fun becoming witches ourselves while visiting Salem!

We visited a town on the Cape called Provincetown, MA
where we took a whale watching tour and
can I just say~

They were all over the place and soo close to the boat, it was breathtaking!

I took probably 50 shots of these magnificent creatures of the sea~
this adventure was truly worth taking!

Having a moment on the whale watching tour boat

Provincetown is the actual very first place the pilgrims landed
in America, not Plymouth Rock but the pilgrims only stayed for 6 weeks
and then left the Cape to the mainland.
They built the Pilgrim monument in their honor in P-Town
and I had the pleasure of climbing to the top of this
record-breaking granite structure below!
What a view from the top~

We visited the island of Marthas Vineyard while in the Cape Cod area~
This is Gay Head cliffs ~
At the boat docks modeling our Cape Cod hoodies
While we visited Boston we traveled by subway!
This was the first time for both of us ever to ride a subway
but I just had to try it out while in a big city!!
When you learn how to read the maps it wasnt so bad~
My mom was really interested in this Duck tour in Boston,
my grandma Pat had mentioned it was something fun to do as well...
So we took our first amphibious vehicle tour which was trippy!
One minute your driving on the road down the street and the next
your in the water sailing down the river! hee

Also while in Boston I had to try the CLAM CHOWDAH!!
Not something I would usually order, but
hey when in ROME!!!
It was actually VERY delicious and I ate the whole bowl!!!
Mmmmm, those clams arent soo bad!
Of course we ate at the Famous CHEERS in Boston as well!
They didnt know my name though!
hmmmm ;-P

We saw many amazing things and ate some New England
specialitys as well. Our week went by fast but it was FILLED!
I took over 300 pictures of the trip and now I have the great task to try to
make some sort of scrapbook out of them! Hmmm

Cant wait to see where we journey too next year~

"Till next year I suppose"!

and calls them princess nails! ;-)
Hey dainty little hands are soo sweet~
I will cherish this pic when she is older I'm sure!
Self-Portrait Picture taken with my camera... sweet!

Visiting the Strawberry Farm on Mothers Day~

May is the time for STRAWBERRIES!!

I have been craving some sweet delicious red jeweled fruit
for a week now and today for Mothers Day I took the
kiddos, daddy and grandma My-Hope to the Strawberry Farm~
They are getting ready to go pick some YUMMY strawberries!
Hayden LOVES to pick the strawberries, he could
probably get a job here if they would hire child labor! ha
'Lyza Jane is more of an EATER than a picker!!
Hayden was impressing me this year with his strawberry picking skills~
I guess he learned a few things from last year~
'Lyza Jane just learned you can eat as many strawberries as you can while
'ACTING' like your picking in the fields! ha ha
Taking a break from the picking...
'Lyza Jane STILL eating instead of collecting!
How many does this make 'Lyza Jane?!
My professional Strawberry Picker~
My Professional Strawberry Quality Tester~

We love to pick strawberries!
She can't even stop eating for a picture! ha

Also at the Strawberry farm they have animals... MOO!

One of the ladys who worked at the farm gave the kids some
pretty petunias to give to Mommy and Grandma for a
Happy Mothers Day!
(sweet of them)
Some of our Strawberry Loot~

Oohh I just had to make a yummy strawberry pie with
some of the strawberries too~

Cant wait to go back one more time before the season ends!
