Family Fun Mag's- Easter Egg Paper Diorama~

Family Fun Magazine April 2009 Edition Egg Diorama
I saw this cute craft project in my Family Fun mag and knew
the kids and I had to try it out as an Easter week project.
(We made these April 7 & 8, the week of Easter!)
The supplies were easy enough, most things that you
keep around the house~
You basically need: balloons, scissors, tissue paper,
white paper, flour and water to make glue & bowls

You cover the whole balloon in just one layer of tissue first,
after that cover the tissue layer with two white paper layers...
This is Hayden covering his white paper layers...
Then finally you cover the white paper layers with the final
tissue paper layer which you can design to make pretty...
Give it 24 hours to competely dry and become hard like an egg
Cut out and opening and pop your balloon inside
Pull out your balloon
Stuff your egg with whatever you heart desires
We choose Easter grass and plastic eggs
Tie a ribbon to the top for decoration
Lastly, glue crinkled up tissue paper around egg opening
for more decoration and pizazz
Display on table, shelf or could hang up as well
You could also fill the eggs up goodies and give them as Easter gifts

They are a 2 day project but soo cute when your completely finished!
We will have to make some more next year and give them as gifts~
Happy Easter!

Happy Easter~ Easter Bunny!!

I have soo many back Posts I need to catch up on but in the mean time
these pics were too cute not to post today before the old ones get caught up~
We saw the EASTER bunny today!

The kids were soo excited to tell the Easter bunny what they wanted
from him and it was cute watching the Easter Bunny Mime to the kids~
I had to DRAG my kids away or no one else would have had a pic with the Easter Bunny!
They just wanted to hang out with the Easter bunny all day I guess~ hee hee
I love these Childhood moments of my kids!

In the pic below the Easter bunny was playing
Peek-A-Boo with them~
'Lyza thought it was hilarious and Hayden I think is trying to play COOL!

I'm amazed they both smiled with the Easter Bunny! This pic ROCKS!

Happy Easter Everyone!
Hope its blessed~

Heritage Park Easter Hunt hosted by Parks & Rec~

Ok...This is OUR 3rd and final EASTER EGG HUNT!
(for this weekend that is...hee hee)
The city Parks and Rec Dept hosted a 1st Annual Easter Egg Hunt
so we had to make an appearance to the free fun event!
I mean Easter only comes once a year right?!
(Being my favorite holiday too doesnt hurt!)
'Lyza and myself waiting for her age groups egg hunt to begin~
"I found one Mommy!"
After the egg hunt while waiting for Haydens age group to begin
she was enjoying twirling and running in the field~
She looks so cute in this back profile pic
Ooohhh CANDY inside the egg!
Haydens age group below is getting ready for the start signal

GO GO GO GO!!!
(Chaos is FUN!)
After the hunting Elyza ran to Hayden and Daddy walking from the field~
Hayden trying to make sure 'Lyza Jane doesnt run off...
what a good big brother!
Can we play at the PARK....PLEASE?!!
(Sure, why not!)

Twirly Slides are fun!!

We knew Daddy being TALL would come in handy for a reason someday~
his job is to lift us up and across the monkey bars!!

Luckily the rain held off in just enough time to finish the egg hunts!
The wind was blowing warning of the rain coming, but at least
we were blessed with a dry, 'free' and fun afternoon of Egg Hunting
put on by the city!
Thanks to Parks and Rec for putting on community fun events like this one!
We sure do enjoy them~
Happy Easter!

Hayden wanted to climb the mountain slide first thing!!
I wish I had of went down... it looked like FUN!

The place was packed with families on this beautiful afternoon!
Hayden loves this 'Black Hole' tunnel slide~
It had just rained the day before so it was little muddy~
but ALL the more fun right!!
The Egg Hunt!
Hayden is having fun finding candy&sticker treasures!

Wow, Hayden your a good Egg Hunter!
Hayden the GOAT!
Hayden the Scarecrow!

He loves feeding the farm animals at RiverView Mounds~

He would be a great Farm hand...I will have to ask if they are hiring! hee
The Farm got new baby chicks as residents...the kids loved it!They were all soo different looking and cute!
I dont think they eat straw, Hayden!
Playing with the tractors
This Farm is every little boys dream....
it even has a huge sandbox to dig around in!
What lil' boy doesnt love to dig in the sand with DIGGERS and shovels?
A carnival game that the church sponsored~
Hayden actually got some in the hole- Good job!
His reward was picking out two candys....
the decision was soo hard!!
Way FM had a raffle spin for prizes!
BIG MONEY HAYDEN...COME ON BIG MONEY!!
And the prize he won is?.....

He won a whistle!!
He was soo excited he whistled it all the way home!
Thanks to the WAY FM Christian Radio and Grace Community Church
for providing such a blessed 'FREE' day for families to enjoy on the farm!
Thanks also to the coolest Farm around~ RiverView Mounds Century Farm!
If you want a day filled with 'FARM' fun for your family take them to the best farm:

They can keep you entertained all day for only $6.00
and they have a concession stand where you can eat lunch or an
early dinner picnic if you get hungry as well!!
My kids love RiverView Mounds and the owners are genuine people!
(I suggest you take a visit while they are still open now till May 2nd for SpringFest)
