St. Bethlehem Volunteer Fire Station Egg Hunt~

Our 1st official Egg Hunt of the season!
At 10:00a this morning the kids and I traveled to Exit 4 near Guthrie
for our very first Easter Egg Hunt of the 2009 hunting season! hee
The Volunteer St. Bethlehem Fire Station advertised a community
wide Egg Hunt that was the first ever for them.
My mom even gave me a wake up call early to remind me to take the kids,
since she works in a sister work-field with them! ;-)
Anywho, the kids and I had a great time and the brand new station
looked nice and the grounds were very spacious and perfect for the egg hunt!
The nice Volunteer Firemen even let the kiddos play in the firetrucks!

I Scream, U Scream, We all scream for FREE Ice Cream!

Soo Miss 'Lyza Jane got a free coupon for an ice cream cone
from good ol' Baskins Robbins for her birthday~
We went and her only request for flavor was...
you guessed it~
"Pink"!

So Hayden wanted what baby sister was getting too...
If she has pink he wants pink! Go figure!
So I asked the lady in the drive-thru what "Pink"
ice-cream they had in stock ~
(cant believe I had to ask for a certain COLOR ice cream! geez! ) hee

The lady said it was Pink Bubble Gum or Cherry Jubilee~
Of course we went for the 'cherry' non-bubble mess flavor as our
PINK ice cream winner for their cones.

It was a huge delicious hit too!

Say MMMMMmmmm Ice cream!
Happy Birthday to 'Lyza Jane, thank-you Baskin Robbins!!!

Park Day~ E is for EXERCISE!

So it was a gorgeous day out so we decided to get some EXERCISE!
I love taking the kids to the many public and school parks and playgrounds
they have around town, so today we went to a new one they recently finished
at an elementary school here in town.
Its Spring break so we had the park to try out on this beautiful day!

Peek-a-Boo I see you!

She has such an adventurous & brave spirit- I love that about her!
Hayden met some brothers at the park and they actually will be
going to the same kindergarten/school next year...maybe they'll get the same teacher?!
They all had a grand time together!
I think they could have twirled on this for hours~
They played chase and poor lil' sister wanted to follow them and her big brother...
she would be running after them all over the park trying to keep up with the boys!
You Go Girl!

She LOVES to run!

And Swing!
Hayden amazes me with how much he has grown just in
these past few months...he is getting so big!
Sniff Sniff
I remember the days when I had to push him on the swing,
now he can go high all by himself...

We love to be outside and get the energy flowing in the sunshine!
I love Spring and days like today~
We could hang outside at a park for hours just enjoying the
"GOOD LIFE"
and our many blessings!

E is for Egg~

I found this idea online another good way to use those
MANY eggs from last year...RECYCLE!!
I took 10 eggs and numbered them with marker on the one half~
then put corresponding number of stickers ont he bottom half of the egg.
Split the two halfs up and have your child find the matching number
of stickers to the correct number and make a full egg.
Hayden really enjoyed this game and did well!
And it can be used over and over again!

E is for EASTER!

Since Easter is coming up we are going to learn about the
letter E this week!
Below I found a cute Easter Basket printable that
practices colors which is good for Elyza Jane right now.

They colored the eggs the correct color it stated...
Then they had to cut them out and glue them to the basket~
'Lyza Janes E for EASTER basket~
Haydens E for EASTER basket~

Our next project was an E for EASTER BUNNY!
We traced the bunny template I printed out on to blue construction paper~
See my bunny I traced with white crayon~
Then we took a cotton ball dipped in paint and filled in the tracing~
We glued on a bunny tail-painted a nose, pink ears and eyeballs~
Completed the Easter bunny with a carrot and grass underneath!
E is for EASTER BUNNY!

Decorating for Easter~

We are excited for EASTER!!
(It is mommys favorite holiday)
We put up a few decorations to start getting into the spirit~
Thanks My-Hope for the Easter window clings!

Thanks to another blog I got his idea of
using all the plastic eggs we collect from past Easters
to make a doorway walk thru!
(It brightens up the hallway)

Hope you are having a very wonderful SPRING so far!
