SkyDiving Oahu, Hawaii~ celebrating " 30"!!

I wanted to reminisce for a moment back to my younger days! Also, I wanted to post this video for my kids to see that they can accomplish anything if they truly want it. Hayden & Elyza never let fear stand in your way of accomplishing something great. I love you both so much & know you will both grow-up to be fearless leaders in your own right~

This was one of mommy's most awesome days ever experienced~besides the days I had both of you of course! I leave you with this message to just go out there and take on the world- make it yours! Live it to the fullest!

Love Always your Mom~ Somer Jane

Clarksville Elite Gymnastics has all 'BOY' classes~

For the past month, Hayden has been training in an
all-boys gymnastics class learning some challenging & physical moves.
Being in an all boys class has its benefits, since Coach Emily
gears all exercises and training to a boys bootcamp like activity.
Of course they are still learning all the tumbling and normal gymnastics type
activities like balance beam, uneven-bars and trampoline stunts.
Its just that Coach Emily makes it fun for the boys by not making it girly! ;-)
Hayden loves going every week and I'm proud of him for not giving up
when he's learning something new that he may not be good at yet.

Here are just a few pics that I was able to take today...
I wish I could get pics every week since they work on different things
each week but the actual gym is closed off to parents only gymnasts.
(Its just hard taking good pics through
the glass window viewing area because of the glare)

Above, Hayden is stretching out/warming up before the class begins.
Below, Hayden is about to vault onto a huge mat and try to flip
over the octagon shaped mat...
He likes to run and JUMP off the vault INTO THE MAT!

Now he is going to run, jump the vault and try to flip over the cube
He vaulted and rolled over it..good try Hayden!
Now practicing floor exercises... Hayden does his hand stands~

Soo cute...Hayden doing his cartwheels...he looks better than me! hee
Doing a front flip on the trampoline~
My camera was too slow and didn't catch the flip in the air but
only after when he landed on his bum below.
He did a good flip though, take my word for it! ;-)
Coach Larry the owner talking with Hayden
Hayden may or may not become the next Olympic Gold Medalist Gymnast
but for right now this is something that is giving him confidence.
Not to mention that its burning off his abundant energy and strengthening
his muscles in the process! I hope that we can continue gymnastics through the winter and all the rest of the year until he decides if he will continue again the next year...till then...
We are enjoying our sessions at Clarksville Elite Gymnastics!
Thanks Coach Emily for being great with the boys~

Sango Fro Yo just opened in town~

Sango is popping up with Frozen Yogurt places all over!
We now have two brand new places less than a mile from each other.
Today we tried SANGO FRO-YO!
Its a self-serve place just like the rest of them and has
toppings and syrups to coat the yogurt.
(I wish they had a bigger fruit selection though)
'Lyza got a vanilla fro-yo and Hayden tried a birthday cake flavor that
tasted just like birthday cake! (without the icing of course)
But it was yummy and worth the visit.

The kids and I enjoyed the time together
and loved the cute table arrangements.
They have a program of getting your card punched.
After the 9th punch you get your 10th cup free.
Gotta love FREE things!

Aunt Kelli (my baby sis) came to visit...YAY!

I love when my little sisters get to visit us down south!
This week my baby sis Kelli got to visit for the week and
we tried to make the best of it!
We went to the Jammin' in the Alley one night and enjoyed listening
to a live band and the summer night fresh air with our Aunt LeeAnne.
We ate dinner at a downtown fav. called Blackhorse Pub.~ yummy!
We got to see the new Julia Roberts movie called, EAT, PRAY, LOVE...
I must say I liked the movie better than the book too.
We took Elyza Jane to the Custom House museum below...
(Thanks Aunt LeeAnne for the free passes~We enjoyed the time with you!)
Kel & myself at the museum~
'Lyza Jane posing with her Aunt Kelli~ pretty girls!

(Next time we will get Jessie and Randi in here too!)

Roasting Weenies with Aunt Kelli and catching LIZARDS!

We went to Cheekwood to see CHIHULY today!
I have to admit I have never heard of CHIHULY till today but
Im soo glad that I now know what this CHIHULY is all about!
Beautiful hand-blown glass is what it is and its breathtaking~
My Aunt LeeAnne treated sister Kel and myself to the garden visit,
and afterward I treated everyone to lunch and an Art Museum visit to
the FRIST center in Nashville with more Chihuly!

Absolute wonderful day might I say~
I took this pic below of the dragonflies and lilypads at Cheekwood...
I thought it was magical~

I loved the beautiful Gardens at Cheekwood...

I have been before but it was late fall not summer.

Kelli and I posing infront of the chihuly filled pond

Aunt LeeAnne and Kelli in the Chihuly Bamboo Garden~
I bet this place is awesome at night time!

Chihuly on the wall inside the Frist Center

Decorating the garden pool next to the mansion

Say CHEESEEE!

This Chihuly stuff is really spectacular...
The Mansion and Gardens are gorgeous by themselves
but with the Chihuly everywhere it was like Wonderland!

Capturing a shot of Kelli infront of the Cheekwood mansion
and the Chihuly SUN sculpture...just gorgeous!

Chihuly in a boat....Chihuly in the moat...ha ha jk
(It was in a pond, but I feel like Dr. Seuss a little)
Chihuly all thoroughout the Japanese Gardens
Sooo ZEN!
CHIHULY's 30Ft tall SAFFRON TOWER!
This soo reminds me of something on the planet Krypton~
(yes Superman's home planet! hee)
I love this bright blue CHIHULY!!!
WHAT A PERFECT AND WONDEROUS DAY!!
THANK-YOU AUNT LEEANNE FOR THE TREAT and IDEA~
I know I enjoyed the trip tremendously!
Can't wait till our next GIRLS only outing but next time Randi
will be there too!! (Miss ya Randi)

If your interested in seeing the Cheekwood Chihuly on exhibit
you have until October to check this artwork out~

First Day of 1st grade for Hayden~

Soo its off to the RACES AGAIN!!!
;-)
Its a brand new school year and Hayden is starting the big 1st grade!
We are sooo excited and know Hayden has grown some
physically & mentally over the summer...
and we got a brand new haircut just a day ago to start
the new school year off right!
(Hayden wanted it cut, not me! sniff sniff)
Lyza saying her goodbyes and well wishes for
a great 1st day of 1st grade to Hayden above!

After we dropped Hayden off...
Mommy needed a Starbucks Iced White Chocolate Mocha
to deal with her sadness and heartache...
'Lyza needed some of mommys drink too~ tee hee

We all made it thru the first school day and we picked Hayden up
and got some Wendys for a picnic at the Park!
We asked Hayden how his first day was and if he liked his teacher
and this is what he said~

One of the things they did today at school~ very good Hayden!

I hope Hayden enjoys his new teacher this year he is a man named, Mr. Kolb.

(We are excited to have him teach our Hayden this year as parents)
Lets pray this year is even better than last year,
and
that Hayden is successful in his first grade academic year!
Go Hayden Class of 2022!

love you big boy~
