~Why My House is NOT as Clean as I'd Like~

Sooo before I had two kids my house was neat and tidy!
I like organization and everything having a place...
After Hayden was born things changed but I still was
able to keep things straight for the most part.
Now things are different!!
'Lyza Jane turned '2' this year, which means
shes at the age of getting into everything and being curious!
This now means Mommy can not keep up
with the house cleaning like she would like~
For instance...
I will clean one room and 'Lyza Jane will be in
another room (while I'm cleaning) destroying that
other room which I will have to clean up after the one I'm
already trying to clean~ DOUBLE THE WORK FOR ME!
I know, I know...welcome to motherhood right!
Well, its just not fair if ya ask me! ;-)
Soo today I'm putting some laundry in the washer
and moving some from the dryer etc.
Hayden comes downstairs from checking on what his sister
was up too in the playroom and he yells~
"MOM come quick 'Lyza messed up the computer!"
(which is also upstairs)
So, I drop what I'm doing and
go assess the damage~
'Lyza Jane had finger painted~ WHITE-OUT
all over my computer screen and keyboard!

But it gets better...

She just didnt white-out the screen wherever...
she had some sort of ANARCHY plan
to her finger painting ways~

She only painted our FACES on my screen saver
with the white-out!
Is she trying to tell us something?

I wonder if she is too young for therapy?
ha ha JK!

The evidence of the crime!
Her finger points GUILTY!!

She thinks she is soo funny sitting in timeout
with her white-out grin!!

This is what calgon moments are made of...

~Nature Hike at Rotary Park~

We are studying the letter 'L' this week
So I took the kids on a nature hike
looking for leaves in the woods of Rotary Park
and we found more than leaves...it was a good afternoon!

At the beginning of our hike through the trails

He actually modeled for me on this log

he is soo handsome!
She is just like her Daddy....no smiles for pics!!!

The trees were soo pretty hiking the trails
My two babies...my two favorite things in life!
Hmm so which way do we go?

Having a break between trails
Miss Thang

Throwing rocks into the creek
Lets see how big of splash we can make

'Lyza Jane holding one of the many leaves we collected
along the hike trail

Hayden looking for fish or something

Hayden found this 'Squirrel' hole~
he said a 'squirrel' lives here
Letting the leaves glide down the waterfall of the creek

'Lyza Jane found a long stick and so she tried fishing~
She didnt catch anything though...hmm

Watching the leaves fall from the trees
HIKING UP THE HILL
Looking down the hill we hiked up
I had to get one pic of me in here too...
I'm holding all the leaves
we collected for a future 'L' project!

Soo Sunday we went back to the coolest farm to open yet
in Montgomery County by far for the last day of the season.
Again we had the best time just enjoying the day (Gorgeous at that),
and playing with all they have to offer at Riverview Mounds Farm!
(they even added some new things since the month ago we last visited!)
I wish they would stay open longer while the weather is still good,
since you can spend all day there with the kids
and know that everyone is safe and the kids can be kids!
This time I dressed them both in play clothes since the farm
has LOTS of things to get dirty and dusty with.
We drug grandma this time with us too, so she could see what
a nice farm this was...I think she enjoyed the day as much as we did!
It truly was perfect outside!
The farm is closed till spring now, but I would surely mark
my calendar if I were you to make a date in spring to
visit this gem of a Farm off Hwy 12.
I'm sure the Rinehart family will show you a great time!
Just tell them Somer Jane Haley sent you!
or better yet
maybe I'll see you there in Springtime myself
with my kiddos of course~
